No Fines For Driving On Expired Licenses

No fines will be handed to drivers caught driving with expired licenses, Major-General Al-Sayegh said he issued instructions to the police patrols not to issue any citations in this regard.  He added that this matter applies only to those whose driving licenses have expired during the period when the Kuwait government called for suspension of work for all official bodies.

The senior official stated that renewal of driving licenses from devices installed in a number of complexes  is suspended in light of the decision issued by the Council of Minister, which forbids gathering in one place to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

In response to a question on the continuity of receiving transactions for renewing licenses online, AlSayegh said the system is working, but the licenses from the devices is suspended until the 29th of this month.
