No Complaints Received On Delayed Salaries Of Cleaning Workers

Minister of Commerce Abdullah Al-Salman said his ministry did not receive complaints about the delayed payment of salaries for cleaning workers or others over the last five years, reports Al-Qabas daily. Regarding the measures that the ministry took to ensure the cleaning workers receive their salaries on time, Al-Salman disclosed the concerned companies are required to submit the salary transfer statement before disbursement of salaries every month, verification of the companies’ documents related to the opening of bank accounts for all employees, the General Services Department conducts inspections regularly to ascertain that salaries are paid on time, and withholding cleaning contract payments until the ministry is sure that the workers have received their salaries.
