New Conditions To Refund Fees For Kuwaitis, Domestic Workers

The Belsalamah platform now includes new conditions for refunding fees to citizens and domestic workers who signed new contracts with domestic labor recruitment offices, reports Al-Qabas daily. The platform enumerated procedures for refunding fees – maximum of KD 490 – for the contract of a domestic worker from the Philippines as follows:

■ If the sponsor decides to cancel the recruitment of the worker, he must submit an application online and then contact the customer service at National Aviation Services (NAS).

■ If a refund for PCR test fees is requested before the first PCR test is conducted, no service fee will be charged.

■ Once the recruitment procedures have started, the amount that will be refunded varies depending on the phase of the recruitment process when the refund request was submitted.

In case the recruitment is cancelled or the date of reporting for work is changed due to positive PCR test result, 10 percent of the total fees will be deducted from the amount that will be refunded to the sponsor as the latter is required to pay for the PCR test and Muna transaction fees.

If Jazeera Airways or Kuwait Airways Corporation cancels a flight 72 hours before the flight schedule, the airline must re-book the tickets of passengers without additional cost. NAS shall bear the cost in case the flights are cancelled due to unavoidable and unexpected circumstances.
