Nationality Forgers Enjoying Housing, Education And Employment

01 August 2019 Kuwait

With the issue of bedoun or the so-called illegal residents being widely scrutinized, several MPs who are outspoken have said the issue of those who have acquired the nationality through fraudulent means is no less important, reports Al-Rai daily.

They have agreed these two issues are different but are no less important when it comes to the social security and national identity. MP Saleh Ashour told the daily the file of those who have acquired the nationality by forging documents “is no less important than addressing the bedoun case.”

Ashour said “the forgers of nationality enjoy false privileges at the expense of the nation since they have become eligible for housing, education and employment for which they are not entitled.” He has called on all those who have acquired the Kuwaiti nationality illegally to legally modify their situations before actions are taken against them. He stressed this file is still open and will remain open until things are put in the right perspective.
