National Assembly Approves Number Of Incoming Letters

National Assembly reviewed Tuesday a number of incoming letters during its regular session.

The Parliament reviewed letters from His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, thanking the President and Members of the National Assembly for their congratulations on the success of the 23rd Gulf Cup, hosted by the State of Kuwait during the period from 22 December 2017 to 5 January 2018 and His Highness' 12th anniversary of his assumption of power.

It also reviewed a letter sent by His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah in which he thanked the MPs for their congratulation on the success of the 23rd Gulf Cup.

The National Assembly approved a letter from Head of Public Parliamentary Facilities committee, Member of Parliament Abdullah Al-Enzi requesting remanding the investigation Committee in charge for discussing reasons behind the inability of the infrastructure to absorb rainfall.

The parliament also approved a letter from Parliament member Mohammad Al-Dallal requesting the Parliamentary environmental committee to reconsider protecting public gardens and improve them.

It approved a letter from Head of committee on improving Parliamentary businesses environment Rakan Al-Nisef requesting changing the committee's title to become the Welfare Committee of Improving Business Environment of Small and Mid-enterprises.

During the session, the cabinet also agreed on a letter from Head of Financial and Economic committee Salah Khorsheed requesting to refer the proposal to a request submitted by the Member of the National Assembly Dr. Hamoud Al-Khudair regarding the payment of the rent allowance for divorced women who have children from a non-Kuwaiti to the Parliamentary Committee of Women's and Family Affairs.
