Municipality Bulldozer Demolishes Encroachment On State Property
Head of the Emergency Team at the Kuwait Municipality branch in Jahra Ali Al-Quwaidi disclosed that they removed 25 encroachments on State properties in Saad Al-Abdullah City. He affirmed such campaigns are continuing to demolish structures after the grace period given to those found to have encroached on State properties.
Director of the Municipality branch in Ahmadi Eng Ahmed Al-Shetaily reaffirmed the continuation of these campaigns to remove violations according to a plan that covers the entire governorate. Also, Director of Auditing and Engineering Follow Up Department Eng Soud Al-Dabbous revealed the inspectors removed 76 cubic meters of animal feeds from a store built on land owned by the State without obtaining a permit. He added the Municipality destroyed the confiscated animal feeds. In another development, the Violations Removal Department at the Kuwait Municipality branch in the Capital carried out a campaign to inspect shops, restaurants and buildings in Jaber Al-Ahmed, Qibla, Shuwaikh Industrial Area and Al-Mubarkiya to ensure strict compliance with regulations, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
;The campaign resulted in issuance of 53 citations and closure of a store room. Head of the department Eng Abdullah Jaber disclosed the Shift C members issued 11 citations for various violations such as operating a shop in a way that endangers the health and safety of people, displaying commodities in front of the shop without getting a license from the Municipality, failure to maintain advertisement of the shop, lack of information dissemination on the activities of the establishment and putting advertisement boards without getting a license; in addition to following up a complaint in Jaber Al-Ahmed. He added the members of Shift B issued 41 citations for 20 foodstuff violations and 21 for advertisements, as well as following up the opening of a locked chiller in Shuwaikh and ensuring it works properly. He went to say a store room was prepared for keeping foodstuff but the team found insects so they closed it. He disclosed the team also discovered that a building owner made repairs without obtaining a license.
The Emergency Team at Mubarak Al-Kabeer Municipality branch carried out a number of campaigns. Head of the Nasser Al-Hajri revealed the team issued 23 citations for various violations, destroyed 16.5 kilograms of spoiled foodstuff, removed 103 random advertisements, and investigate six complaints made through the hotline by citizens within one week.
