Mps Congratulated His Highness The Crown Prince On The Occasion Of His 11th Anniversary

Members of the Parliament and ministers congratulated His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al- Jaber Al-Sabah on the occasion of his 11th anniversary as Crown Prince. While wishing HH the Crown Prince more blessings, the lawmakers and ministers described him as an outstanding statesman as he has been serving Kuwait through various positions. They pointed out that the Crown Prince greatly contributed to the country’s renaissance and his gentle nature made him close to Kuwaitis.

They commended his excellent performance throughout his career asserting he is full of wisdom, has the ability to manage crises calmly, has been an active partner in building the nation since the 1950s, and contributed to the decision making process. They praised his vast experience in the political fi eld and his work with a number of contemporary leaders since he occupied the most important top ministerial post in the 1980s.

They added he is considered the right hand of his brother HH the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah in building the nation to better serve the people. Deputy Parliament Speaker Issa Al-Kandari asserted HH the Amir made a good decision when he chose his brother, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad, as Crown Prince 11 years ago. He prayed to Almighty Allah for protection, good health and long life for the Amir and Crown Prince.

MP Waleed Al-Tabtabaei asserted Sheikh Nawaf has a good and distinct personality, disclosing he has known the Crown Prince since he was in the National Guard and a minister

. He affirmed Kuwait and its people love the Crown Prince who is humble, wise and keen on serving Kuwait’s interest. He believes the presence of Sheikh Nawaf by his brother’s side greatly contributes to development of governance.

Meanwhile, Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and State Minister for Municipal Affairs Mohamed Al-Jabri also congratulated HH the Crown Prince on such an occasion which is precious to every citizen. He wished the Crown Prince good health and success. State Minister for Cabinet Affairs Sheikh Mohamed Al- Abdullah said the Crown Prince held several positions through which he served the country and its citizens. He added the Crown Prince served as ministers of Interior and Defense, not to mention his unwavering support for Sheikh Sabah, HH the late Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad and late Amir Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah — may Allah have mercy on them.

In another development, MP Ahmed Nabel Al-Fadel has presented a proposal to amend Press Law number 3/2006 in order to require plaintiffs in a press misdemeanor case to pay KD 500 guarantee before their complaints are taken into consideration. The lawmaker proposed adding Article 28 (repeated) to read as follows: “When filing a complaint against anyone who violates Articles 19, 20, 21, 26 and 28 of this law; the plaintiff must deposit KD 500 guarantee to the State Treasury.

“If there is more than one plaintiff or more than one defendant, each plaintiff must deposit the aforementioned guarantee equivalent to the number of defendants. The government is the only entity exempted from paying this guarantee. “The guarantee is seized through the law when a decision is passed to retain the complaint or a ruling is issued by a competent court in favor of the defendants. “The court will require the defendants to pay the guarantee as total or part of compensation for damages if the plaintiff wins the civil lawsuit.”
