Mp Submitted A Proposal To Amend The Law Of The Audit Bureau

01 July 2019 Kuwait

MP Dr Khalil Abul has submitted a proposal to amend the law of the Audit Bureau according to which the term of the chairman, his deputy and other senior officials will be for four years, renewable just one time, reports Al-Qabas daily.

Abul told the daily, the amendment also proposes to set specific terms for the appointment of officials in executive positions, and proceed with the same approach to control these posts. He stressed that the proposed law strengthens the role of the supervisory bodies in the performance of their work independently and in a transparent manner and motivates those in supervisory positions to move higher

He pointed out it is unreasonable to remain in supervisory position indefinitely for more than 20 years, which is contrary to the observations of the Audi Bureau on the continuation of some senior officers in executive positions for a long time which will have adverse effects on the work of the executive bodies or the sector. It looks like the behavior of one of the MPs with some members of his tribe may reflect negatively about his plan to continue to retain the seat in the National Assembly, reports Al-Qabas daily.

One of the angry members of his tribe has gone to the extent of holding a placard criticizing the parliamentarian and accused him of being money minded and has added saying he has failed to respond to their calls and complete their transactions. He wonders if this MP deserves the votes of the tribe.
