Former MP Kamel Al-Awadhi has suggested the establishment of offices in the Public Authority for Minors Affairs (PAMA) and Public Institution for Social Security (PIFSS) which will be under Al-Durra Company for the Recruitment of Domestic Workers. He stressed the need to coordinate the efforts of all concerned parties in easing the burdens of citizens in recruiting workers, as well as to regulate the labor market and protect it from manipulation.

He praised the institutions that worked towards the success of the domestic workers company, especially since it is considered a national social project made possible by the painstaking efforts of many parties.

He also lauded the support of the Ministry of Social Affairs, particularly its decision to deduct KD 50 from the total cost of hiring domestic workers for each Kuwaiti family that recruits housemaids through the company. He affirmed this decision stems from the humanitarian viewpoint of the ministry.

He appealed to cooperative societies, as the largest partners in the company in terms of share in the capital – about 60 percent, to utilize their capabilities and potentials in ensuring the success of the company.
