Mp Eyes Solar

MP Bader Al-Humaidi submitted a proposal for the Council of Ministers to instruct the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy and other concerned institutions to float tenders for the production of solar energy; as well as the establishment of wind power and desalination plants.

According to the proposal, the qualified companies will execute the projects in cooperation or partnership with specialized global companies. These projects will be located in areas near the land borders in the North and South. The winning companies will be required to plant trees to cover the area on which the project will be established in order to contribute to ongoing efforts to protect the environment. The companies will be obliged to supply energy and water to the ministry, which will then distribute these resources to citizens by linking production sites to the distribution network.
