Mosal Issued Resolution To Extend The Period For Disbursement Of Social Aid To Kuwaiti Women Married To Non-kuwaitis

Minister of Social Affairs and Labor and State Minister for Economic Affairs Hind Al-Sabeeh issued a ministerial resolution to extend the period for disbursement of social aid to Kuwaiti women married to non-Kuwaitis, reports Al- Rai daily quoting a reliable source.

The source explained that the minister took this step due to the absence of a law on granting aid to this category. He said the existing law does not allow the ministry to grant social aid to Kuwaiti women married to non-Kuwaitis (Bedouns and foreigners) and suffering from physical disability which prevents them from working.

According to the source, the ministry suspended disbursement of social aid to this category one year ago but Al- Sabeeh lifted the suspension for a period of six months which will end soon; hence, the resolution to extend it.
