Mosa Stressed The Importance Of The Alc
Kuwait's Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Hind Barrak Al-Sabeeh on Wednesday stressed the importance of the Arab Labor Conference (ALC) for intensifying the efforts of all Arab countries to serve workers, business owners and the entire process of development.
Addressing the concluding session of the 44th ALC held in Cairo, Al-Sabeeh, who doubles as Minister of State for Economic Affairs, said that boosting women's role in sustainable development was a major topic addressed by the discussions.
The second item on the conference agenda addressed entrepreneurship and how to open the door for projects by youth or new entrepreneurs, the minister said.
The Kuwaiti National Assembly (parliament) has approved law amendments with to facilitate the business environment for new entrepreneurs.
Participants in the 44th ALC, held under patronage of Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi, also discussed vocational training and the impact on boosting awareness and workers' qualification for the sake of curbing unemployment rates, Al-Sabeeh added.
On his part, Director General of the Arab Labor Organization (ALO) Fayez Al-Mutairi, told KUNA that the conference reaffirmed the Arab unity at the face of challenges facing the nation, with unemployment on top.
AL-Mutairi lauded the success of the conference, reiterating that the ALO is committed to all the recommendations in the final statement.
