17 February 2022 Kuwait

The total number of people who received the third dose of Covid vaccine in the country exceeds 830,000 citizens and residents, and it is expected to reach one million within a couple of days.

About 85% of the country's eligible population received vaccines, which played a major role in reducing clinical occupancy rates in the wards and intensive care units as well as in reducing deaths.

Scheduled appointments continue to be made for children between the ages of 5 and 11 with chronic diseases and risk factors. More than 300 children aged 5 to 11 received vaccinations on Wednesday morning, according to the figures.

More than 3,000 people received their booster doses yesterday, too. Pre-booking is required for children, and a text message with the schedule will be sent to the parents' phone number.
