Moi To Continue On The Pattern Of Covid-19 ‘achievements’ Of Digital Transformation
Although the Cabinet decisions regarding Kuwait returning to normal life have officially entered into the plenum of implementation today, the two decisions related to the issuance of visas and the airport operating to its full capacity, will practically require about two weeks for things to take their normal course.
Informed sources told Al-Rai that the Directorate-General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has said it is ready to gradually return to full operation of the airport, according to an organized plan, through coordination with the authorities operating at the airport, ground services and airlines, and addressing various other airports in this regard.
On the same level, security sources said “the decision to reissue entry visas of all kinds, for those who are vaccinated with approved vaccines, requires several steps to enter into practical application.”
The same sources explained that “a meeting of the senior security officers in the ministry must be held to develop a vision and a mechanism in this regard” to implement the decision, in coordination with the Public Authority for Manpower.
The sources indicated that after the success of the Ministry of Interior during the “Corona” crisis in digital transformation through the completion of transactions electronically, the current trend is to continue and strengthen this mechanism, and work to issue “online” visas, especially for residents in the country, and not to return to the old system which required the presence of the applicant for all personal transactions.
However, there are instances when the applicant may have visit the department at times, but this will be precisely determined during the meetings scheduled to be held soon. The sources suggested that the vision would become clearer in the coming days, so that the issuance of entry visas would begin at the beginning of next month at the latest.
