Moi Issued Decision To Amend Some Provisions Of Ministerial Decision No. 2302-2016 Of Domestic Workers Law

Minister of Interior Sheikh Khaled Al- Jarrah recently issued a decision to amend some provisions of Ministerial Decision No. 2302/2016 on regulations and procedures concerning the implementation of Domestic Workers Law.

The decision stipulates that for issuance or renewal of license to recruit domestic workers from abroad, the domestic labor offices are required to submit financial guarantee for KD 40,000 from any local bank, and the guarantee should be valid for two years. It also requires companies to present a letter of guarantee for KD 100,000 from a local bank.

In case of opening a branch of the company, the letter of guarantee shall be KD 40,000 for each branch except for State-owned companies and the Consumer Cooperative Societies Union and the letter of guarantee should be valid for two years.
