Moi Is Ready To Deal With Emergency Situations
Ministry of Interior’s Assistant Undersecretary for Operations Major-General Jamal Al-Sayegh affirmed Tuesday the ministry’s full readiness to face any emergency situation resulted from volatile weather.
Al-Sayegh, also Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Traffic Affairs, made his remarks after holding a coordination meeting with the ministry’s field security leadership to discuss preparations and coordination measures between MoI’s sectors to face the heavy rains, which are expected to fall within the next hours, the ministry said in a press statement.
There are officers in charge of communication and coordination, and ready to receive and follow incoming reports and calls, he said, adding there are also emergency teams, from all state bodies, that will be working around the clock.
Al-Sayegh also stressed the importance of raising public awareness of safety and security guidelines, in addition to contacting the emergency line (112) in case of any emergency or help.
Today’s meeting is part of security bodies’ preparations to alleviate the impact of recent unstable weather in the country.
It was held under the directions of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah and supervision of MoI’s Undersecretary Lieutenant General Essam Al-Naham, noted the statement.
