Mohammad Bin Nayef Pledges Allegiance To Mohmmad Bin Salman As Crown Prince

Relieved crown prince Mohammad Bin Nayef has pledged allegiance to Prince Mohmmad Bin Salman as Crown Prince in Mecca early Wednesday, said Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

According to a royal decree published on SPA, an article in the ruling charter was amended to stipulate that ruling to be within offspring of founder King Abdulaziz Bin Abdurrahman Al-Faisal Al-Saud, as well as their descendants to be found the fitter. The amended article continued to say that ruling would not be constrained to one branch of the founder king's offspring.

Earlier today, Saudi Arabia's Allegiance Council has voted 31 to 34 in favor of the changes. King Salman Bin Abdulaziz relieved Prince Mohammad Bin Nayef from his post as a Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister and appointed Prince Mohammad Bin Salman as Crown Prince and Deputy Premier and maintained his post as a Defense Minister.

Other royal decrees included appointing Prince Abdulaziz Bin Saud as interior minister and Dr. Ahmad Al-Salem as deputy interior minister.
