Moh To Work On Accelerating Pace Of Vaccinations

The Ministry of Health is working to accelerate the pace of vaccinations against the “Covid 19” virus to reach the required community immunity soon, reports Al-Qabas daily.

The daily quoting health sources said, the Ministry is also preparing for the winter seasonal vaccination campaign against infectious respiratory diseases (seasonal influenza and pneumococcal pneumonia).

In this regard the ministry has requested quantities of seasonal flu and “nemococal” vaccines, especially as it witnessed a large turnout from citizens and residents during the past year, coinciding with the spread of the Corona virus, compared to previous years.

The same sources explained the seasonal vaccination campaigns will target the most common infectious winter diseases, such as the influenza virus, specifically (H1N1 + H3N2), as well as influenza B, and the other most common pneumococcal bacteria, pointing out that people who receive the influenza vaccine annually, than those who do not.
