Moh Okays Request On Computer Training For Students Parents
Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health Dr Abdul Rahman Al-Mutairi has approved the request of the Ministry of Education – represented by some private schools – to organize workshops and training courses on computer programs and electronic educational platforms for students and parents inside the schools, reports Al-Qabas daily.
The daily obtained a copy of the official letter that Al-Mutairi sent to the Ministry of Education, in which he stressed the need to adhere to preventive health guidelines in order to guarantee the safety of students, parents and the teaching staff; as well as to curb the spread of coronavirus. He also stressed the importance of activating distance education and tests to ensure the disease does not spread further.
Request
Meanwhile, informed sources told the daily that 30 American, British, bilingual, Indian and Pakistani schools submitted a request to Assistant Undersecretary for Special Education Dr Abdul Mohsen Al- Huwailah to organize in-campus workshops and training sessions on computer programs for parents and students.
Sources confirmed Al-Huwailah discussed the request with acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education Faisal Al-Maqsid, and then the matter was referred to the Ministry of Health. The private schools, which submitted the request, confirmed their keenness to ensure the realization of the aspirations of students in terms of academic achievement and quality education for them to pursue higher studies with excellence and success. These schools also confirmed their commitment to implement the online learning system in an advanced manner.
Explained
Sources explained the request is in response to the insistence of parents to provide support and assistance for them to help their children, facilitate the online education mechanism for them, and provide the required facilities to support students who are educationally distressed and in dire need of continuous communication with the academic advisor to improve their performance.
