Moh Issued 1,821 Birth And Death Certificates To Illegal Residents

The Ministry of Health said on Saturday that they have issued 1,821 birth and death certificates since the past eight months to illegal residents in collaboration with Kuwait’s Central Apparatus for Illegal Residents’ Affairs.

The Health Ministry issued 1,736 birth certificates to them, including 81 birth certificates since January 2017 and until last August, the Ministry’s Assistant Undersecretary for Legal Affairs Salman Al-Haifitold KUNA. Al-Haifiadded that such procedures on issuing birth certificates comes in compliance with Cabinet decision 409/2011, which permits a number of exceptions and easing restrictions to sons of illegal residents. The ministry is committed to implement the law and state Non- Kuwaiti status on the nationality section, after official contact with Central Apparatus for Illegal Residents’ Affairs, Al-Haifinoted.
