Moh Decided To Send Patients For Treatment Abroad

Director of Overseas Treatment Department in the Ministry of Defense Brigadier General Emad Amaan said the Ministry of Health is considered a reference point in taking a decision to send patients for treatment abroad, reports Al- Anba daily In his interview with the daily recently, Amaan explained there is no difference between laws, bylaws and decisions issued by the Overseas Treatment departments in the two ministries.

He disclosed the departments are in charge of evaluating cases, whereas more powers are given to the military liaison offices to deal with urgent cases to refer patients from one country to another according to the recommendation of the general practitioner. He expects the automated link between the ministries of Interior, Defense and Health to see the light soon, confirming that work on the electronic system is underway to allow completion of transactions online.
