Moe Working On Full Capacity To Expedite Grade 12 Exams

Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education (MoE), Faisal Al-Maqsid announced the relevant sectors of the ministry are working at full capacity to expedite the preparations to hold the Grade 12 exams, reports Al-Seyassah daily. He explained the ministry will set up a data bank for students on the ‘TIMES’ platform for the students to achieve the maximum benefit from the information and exam samples available in all scholastic materials. He said this in a statement after chairing a meeting of the undersecretaries during which many issues were discussed related to preparations for the general secondary examinations that will start on May 30. Al-Maqsid went on to say during the meeting, the ministry also asked to determine the names of the schools that will chosen as centers for Grade 12 exams and explained that all secondary schools will be chosen as exam centers in addition to some intermediate schools that will be determined by public education sector.

Requirements
He mentioned that after determining the names of the intermediate schools, the Ministry of Health will be given a list of these centers since the Health Ministry has agreed to provide the requirements for school clinics, nurses, thermometers, sterilizers and masks, pointing out that cooperation with the Ministry of Health is essential in the work of the education teams, expressing his thanks and appreciation to health officials for their cooperation. He explained that meetings with health teams in educational areas will be intensified, and awareness sessions and workshops will be organized for school administrations and teachers to raise efficiency with regard to implementing health requirements in schools.

Al-Maqsid pointed out that meetings with public directors will also be intensified in order to discuss plans for exams and the speed of completion to begin the process of handing them over to the press until it is ready, noting that it has been emphasized to take into account that the questions are at the level of what students have learned via distance education. He stressed that the media aspect of the sectors that work in the field of exams will be intensified, such as facilities, public education and services, to inform the community about the progress of the examination preparation plan and the extent of its progress, in addition to awareness campaigns for our students.

Meeting
Meanwhile, the Director of the Hawalli Educational Zone, Walid bin Ghaith, held the first meeting of the joint committee with the Hawalli Health District to discuss preparations for preparing the headquarters for the Grade 12 secondary school exams. The meeting dealt with the objectives of the joint committee, which lies in limiting the number of committees to 43 in the Hawalli educational region and defining a list for the Ministry of Health teams that will provide requirements during the exams. During the team it was agreed to form mini teams in each committee, so that these committees would be responsible for securing the school building and the procedures to be followed in providing health requirements.

It was also agreed that the Hawalli Health District would hold a workshop next Tuesday for the team of the 43 committees on how to deal and how to go about the health requirements and procedural how to deal with all cases. The meeting was attended by a member of the joint committee of the Ministries of Education and Health, Director of the Health District, Dr. Kholoud Al-Fadhala, the doctors of the Hawalli Health District, and the directors of the various departments in the Hawalli Educational Zone.
