Moe To Ensure The Return Of Schools In September

20 June 2021 Education

The Ministry of Education (MoE) plans to define the features of its plans and proposals regarding the upcoming school year 2021-2022, immediately after the end of the examination period, Al-Rai reported.

An educational source confirmed to the daily that the Ministry is serious about implementing the safe return to schools, regardless of the changes in the Coronavirus situation. The source said, “In the spirit of the sense of responsibility that all educators had during the application of paper tests, despite the wave of rejection, schools will open their doors, and students will return to formal education. The arrangements will be announced gradually, the most important of which is adherence to the list of health requirements set by the Ministry of Health.

The first step for the return of school is to vaccinate students and education staff before the start of the next school year. Students between the age 12 and 15 years old are to be vaccinated during the current summer vacation, in addition to vaccinating secondary school students and unvaccinated students from educational, administrative, and supervisory bodies.

The source reviewed some proposals and educational plans regarding the return, including proposals for dividing the school day into two shifts and the application of blended education, which is a trend on the list of educational plans where the educational process is divided between home and school weekly.

Satisfaction with the return of teachers

The educational source confirmed that the decision of the Council of Ministers regarding the return of the stranded vaccinated in batches, starting August has pleased the Ministry of Education and thousands of teachers.

An official source in the Ministry of Education told the daily that some service sectors in the ministry have been working on morning and evening shifts, since the issuance of the Cabinet’s decision regarding reducing the working hours in government agencies to 30%, indicating that there are no problems in dividing the work into two shifts, if necessary.
