On the other hand, Assistant Undersecretary for Financial Affairs Yousef Al-Najar disclosed a letter affirming that part two books for elementary, intermediate and secondary levels were distributed to all schools has been forwarded to Assistant Undersecretary for Public Education Affairs Fatima Al-Kan
Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr Mohamed Al-Fares stated the fact-finding committee for fake certificates at the Public Authority for Applied Educational and Training (PAAET) is working according to the legal framework and bylaws, reports Al-Qabas daily. Al-Fares added there’s no pressure to stop investigating fake or bogus certificates and the findings will be submitted to the board of directors to take necessary decisions once the investigation committee concludes its work. He noted the suspected fake certificates holders will be referred to Anti-corruption Authority or Public Prosecution for legal action. He reiterated the fake certificate holders will neither receive promotion nor academic leave.
Furthermore, about 77 percent of the employees at Ministry of Education are women while only 23 percent are men, as per a recent educational statistic issued by the ministry’s Administration Sector, reports Al-Qabas daily. The statistic showed there are a total of 110,825 academic and administrative staff members in all educational zones and schools as well as the headquarters of Ministry of Education. Out of these employees, 84,591 are women and the remaining 26,234 are men. Ahmadi Governorate has the highest number of academic and administrative staff with a total of 23,550, followed by Farwaniya with 21,096 staff members, Jahra with 16,173, Capital with 14,196, Mubarak Al-Kabeer with 13,763 and Hawally with 13,293. The remaining 8,754 staff members are working at the ministry headquarters.
