Moe Disclosed That 208 Students Have Been Barred From Taking The English Language Exam

Ministry of Education disclosed that 208 students have been barred from taking the English language exam in the high school examinations of first semester in all science, arts and religious institutes sections, reports Aljarida daily.

The number of those who were absent due to various reasons was 1,876. In a statement, the ministry explained that the number of students who registered to undertake the exams in the science section was 21,686. Among them, 20,789 took the exams while 897 were absent and 70 were barred from taking the exams.

In the arts section, 14,961 students had registered, 14,067 of them took the exam, 894 were absent including 393 students who were absent due to medical reasons, and 138 were barred. In the religious institutes, 1,221 students had registered and 1,136 students sat for the exams while 85 were absent including 24 who were absent due to medical reasons.
