Moe Announces Suspension Of Teachers’ Transfer, Delegation

The Ministry of Education announced the suspension of transfer and delegation of teachers as of April 7, provided the door remains open until that date, reports Al-Anba daily. This decision was taken during a meeting with the directors of all educational zones last week. It was chaired by the Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education Faisal Al-Maqsid, and held in the presence of the Assistant Undersecretary for Public Education Affairs Osama Al-Sultan. Many matters related to the twelfth grade exams, which will start at the end of May, were discussed during the meeting.


 
The most important of them are the rotation of committees according to each of the educational zone council’s vision. A weekly meeting will be held every Thursday. Awareness campaigns for students and educational and administrative bodies during the examination period must be arranged. It is necessary to provide 27 health items in each committee, and to establish coordination and sub-committees in the educational zones where tasks are to coordinate with the health districts regarding any emergency.

The council asked the educational zone administrators to prepare their proposals regarding school attendance during the month of Ramadan, in addition to their proposals on a mechanism for correcting exams and monitoring their scores. Al-Maqsid said the ministry is in a state of emergency during this period. He affirmed his confidence in the educational zone directors in ensuring the implementation of the mechanism and the tasks assigned to the subcommittees, the most important of which are the best methods in the event of monitoring any case during the exam period and providing the required health conditions and sterilization methods in coordination with the health committees. Al- Maqsid stressed that the number of students in each school should be between 160 and 175 students maximum, indicating that middle schools will be used for evening students and home study students.

Meanwhile, for the third day in a row, the Ministry of Education completed interviews with dozens of candidates for the position of assistant director, reports Al-Rai daily. It has been issuing announcements for other job vacancies as part of the vacancy placement plan it launched in the administrative and educational sectors. The administrative sector announced the need for the ministry to fill the position of head of the nutrition department in the control services of the General Services Department in the Administrative Development Sector. The ministry has defined the conditions to be fulfilled by the candidates.

The applicant must have a university degree of a relevant specialization and experience in the field of work for a period of no less than six years. If not, the applicant should atleast have a specialized diploma or should have a general secondary school certificate and completed a two-year course or equivalent as well as have experience in the field of work for a period of no less than ten years. Also, the applicant must have an excellent competency report for the last two years. They must be proficient in using computers, have specialized training courses serving the career field, and pass the personal interview in accordance with the ministerial regulatory decisions.

The ministry also announced its need to occupy the position of supervisor of the administrative development sector, and the position of the head of the department of job rank and description. It also announced the vacant position of head of the secretarial department in the administrative affairs sector.
