Moci Proposal - Special Curfew Permits For Workers In Lockdown Areas

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) will offer a proposal to the government for the renewal of curfew permits which were valid during the period of the total curfew, even for residents of lockdown areas, reported Al Rai daily. As well the possibility of issuing new permits for workers who are required by companies to show up for work during the first stage before the return to normalcy in the coming stages.

MOCI will present the proposal to the government with the aim to overcome the obstacles that is preventing companies from resuming business as per the recent decision by the cabinet to allow certain operations from Sunday, especially since most of the expatriate workers are concentrated in the lockdown areas which include Farwaniya and Khaitan Hawally, Maidan Hawally, Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh and Mahboula.
