Moc Keen To Overcome Obstacles Of Employees, Expats
he Ministry of Communications (MoC) confirmed that it spares no effort in improving the work environment and overcoming obstacles for its employees, citizens and residents.
The ministry revealed it is in the process of signing contracts for the construction, maintenance and restoration of government buildings and other construction works in the Capital, Farwaniya and Jahra governorates in the first phase of the project; to be followed by Hawally, Mubarak Al- Kabeer and Ahmadi governorates in the second phase.
Comprehensive and radical maintenance works will be carried out in ministry buildings and sectors in the six governorates in accordance with these contracts. In response to a Twitter post that the Telephone Network Administration building of the Communications and Support Services Sector is in dire need of maintenance, the ministry confirmed that its undersecretary coordinated with the assistant undersecretary for communications and support services at the beginning of this year to find an alternative building for the administration.
A decision was taken later to relocate the administration to an equipped building in Adailiya and the relocation was supposed to start in April, but this did not push through due to the decision of the Cabinet to suspend work on March 12 to curb the spread of coronavirus. The ministry is keen on resuming the relocation process once the stages of the gradual return to normal life plan are completed, taking into consideration the safety and health of employees as well as the need to improve the services offered to the public.
