Moc Has Formed A Team To Study Formulate Economic Draft Laws
Minister of Commerce and Industry and State Minister for Youth Affairs Khalid Al-Rawdan has formed a team tasked to study and formulate economic draft laws, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting sources
Team
Sources revealed the team, which will work for three months, consists of 10 members from various economic institutions. Sources said the team’s functions include studying two draft laws on debt restructuring, revitalization and liquidation of commercial installations. A number of governmental bodies will soon finalize a report regarding the construction of artificial lakes in Abdally, Subiya, Salmi and the southern part of the country, reports Al-Anba daily quoting a knowledgeable source.
According to the source, the report will be submitted to the Cabinet for approval. He added the Ministry of Public Works will be in charge of processing sewage water for irrigation and for the construction of artificial lakes which will greatly contribute to efforts to reduce temperature, develop the food reserve and provide green spaces to improve tourist spots. Furthermore, the Public Authority for Housing Welfare (PAHW) will conduct a study on the demolition of Al-Salem Apartments Complex for widows and divorcees to pave way for the construction of a new building because it is not possible to renovate the complex 32 years after its establishment, reports Al-Jarida daily. A technical report obtained by the daily showed that the apartments are dilapidated; hence, the need to demolish the complex and build it again to guarantee the safety of tenants.
