Ministry Of Social Affairs Launched E-control Price Monitoring Project
Ministry of Social Affairs has launched the electronic price monitoring project through which consumers will be provided weekly price lists for about 500 varieties of commodities in different cooperative societies, reports Annahar daily.
In this context, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Social Affairs Abdulaziz Shuaib disclosed that second phase of the Services Automation Project of Cooperative Societies Sector in the ministry has been launched already, noting the coming period will be witness to entry of lists of basic commodities prices and their barcodes to allow the ministry extend its control.
He said the ministry has accomplished the e-link with most of the relevant official authorities and only a few remains. It’s expected that the e-link project will be accomplished before the end of 2019 while the ministry is keen on enforcing the Kuwaitization policy, report added.
He stressed the number of national employees appointed in supervisory jobs at 70 cooperative societies increased by 500 only this year, and “though the ministry seeks the expertise of expatriates in some jobs, it also seeks to place experienced Kuwaiti retirees in all avenues”.
