Ministry Of Interior Refuted News Items That Went Viral On Social Media Concerning Piles Of Sand On Artal Road And Several Open Areas
General Department of Public Relations and Media Security in the Ministry of Interior has refuted the news items that went viral on social media recently concerning piles of sand on Artal road and several open areas.
In its statement, the department stated no personnel from the Interior Ministry and Public Works Ministry are dispatched to the areas in question, adding that security teams affiliated to the traffic sector in cooperation with the Ministry of Public Works work together to remove sand piles.
Statement also read that traffic police are found along the road to ensure smooth flow of traffic, while personnel from the Public Works Ministry also work relentlessly to remove anything that may lead to traffic accident. It called on motorists to be cautious due to the unstable weather, affirming that security apparatus are always on stand-by to deal with emergency, indicating security operation’s hotline (112) is always ready to receive reports and deal with them instantly.
