Ministry Of Commerce And Industry Continue Monitoring Stores Rules Adherence

Personnel of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry have issued penalties against 35 commercial stores and shuttered two shops for breaching rules warranted by the coronavirus outbreak.

The ministry said in a statement on Friday its inspection teams went to 118 cooperative stores, markets, commercial stores and vegetable stands, checking adherence to the rules and set commodities’ prices.

A single store was reopened, it said, adding that the teams also monitored 76 supply branches to ensure proper sales and delivery of the products.

Its emergency center received 122 complaints on the hotline number 135.
