Ministries, Govt Institution Wear Almost Empty Look
The ministries and government institutions have reduced the number of employees attending offices to one-fourth of its capacity. This is in addition to reducing working hours wherever feasible.
The outbreak of the ‘Omicron’ mutant and its rapid spread in Kuwait brings back the memories of yesterdays when the government took all measures to control the outbreak of Covid-19 following the outbreak of the pandemic at the beginning of 2020, especially the fourth stage, when government institutions worked to almost half the workforce, reports Al-Rai daily.
With government agencies implementing the Civil Service Commission circular, which includes reducing the workforce by no more than 50 percent, applying flexible systems and working hours, the government is practically operating at a quarter of its capacity, in terms of reducing the number of employees on the one hand, and reducing the number of daily working hours that have been reduced to almost four hours daily.
While the ministries complex wore almost an empty look, in anticipation of the implementation of the CSC circular, each government institution worked to determine its working hours and times, according to the requirements of the public interest.
