The Court of Appeal ordered Ministry of Information, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and two companies to jointly pay KD1 million in temporary compensation to a foreign company. The case file indicated the foreign company owns a social and advertising magazine published in English and Arabic languages with trade mark and name.

It was surprised to find out that a company in Kuwait was using its name and trade mark, while another company was publishing a magazine in English and Arabic with the same name and trade mark. This prompted the foreign company to approach Lawyer Dalal Al-Mulla to file lawsuit against the two companies. The attorney subsequently filed a petition against the companies for trade fraud, and the court fined the latter and referred civil aspect of the case to the civil court.
