Minister Of Interior To Discuss Security Vision 2016-2017

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah met senior security officers and field commanders of his ministry on Sunday to discuss the security vision for 2016-2017.

During the meeting Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry for the Operations Affairs Maj.-Gen. Jamal Al-Sayegh made a presentation on the missions of the various sectors of the Ministry as prescribed in plan for maintaining the rule of law nationwide.

The minister was briefed on the executive procedures for addressing any emergency relating to security or traffic during the holy month of Ramadan in collaboration with the other state departments and non-government organizations, according to a statement by the Ministry's Security Media Dept.

Sheikh Mohammad voiced satisfaction with the security plans and the level of preparedness of the security personnel who were able to timely arrest the law-violators. He called for ensuring smooth traffic during the fasting month, and for early planning for the parliamentary elections, due to be held in January, 2017, the statement added.
