Millions Of Tires Destroyed In Fire

When the Public Relations and Security Media Department of the Kuwait Fire Services Directorate (KFSD) received a call that a vehicles tire storage facility has caught fire, firemen from several fire centers rushed to Shaqaya and brought the fire under control, reports Al-Rai daily.

It has been reported that the KFSD operations room received a report Thursday at 1.33 pm, stating a massive fire had erupted at approximately one million square meters site. Millions of tires were destroyed by fire. However, the daily did not mention if the tires were old or new. No casualties have been reported. Investigations are underway to determine the cause of the fire.
