Mew Plans To Modify System Of Water Production

Ministry of Electricity and Water in the framework of improving the strategic reserve intends to modify the system of water production, reports Al-Rai daily.

The daily quoting a reliable source added a recent meeting of the ministry’s management discussed ways to reduce the cost of water production and develop the installations to ensure quality production using the latest technology.

The same source pointed out that Kuwait perceives a threat on its water resources, especially the groundwater so, it is working hard to maintain its reserve of the groundwater.

He pointed to exhaustion of groundwater resources in neighboring countries, adding initial figures indicate that Kuwait’s groundwater resource will not last eight days if consumed exclusively without exploiting other water resources. He reiterated the need to improve water production and ensure sufficiency using the latest technology.
