Meanwhile, the Ministry of Interior will soon appoint new assistant undersecretaries – all of whom are currently serving as directors general, in addition to the appointment of new general managers, reports Al-Anba daily quoting a source from the security sector. In an exclusive statement to the daily, the source affirmed that the appointment of new assistant undersecretaries is in line with the ministry’s commitment to fill up vacancies; especially after the appointment of Major General Sheikh Salem Al-Nawwaf as head of the State Security Department.
After consulting and coordinating with Undersecretary of the ministry Lieutenant General Issam Al-Naham, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anas Al-Saleh will submit the list of nominees to the assistant undersecretary positions to the Cabinet for the approval of their appointment.
The rank of these nominees is major general, the source added.
