Mew Delays Tender Submission Date

10 May 2022 Kuwait

The deadline for submitting bids for the supply and construction of four main transmission stations in the Al-Sabah Medical District has been pushed back to May 22 by the Ministry of Electricity and Water.

The power supply network in Al-Sabah Health District, which is one of the most important service areas, will be strengthened by these stations, according to a local Arabic daily, because the district has facilities such as the new maternity hospital and other expansions implemented by the Ministry of Health in the region.

In a related development, the Central Agency for Public Tenders agreed to award a tender for the maintenance of ‘reverse osmosis' equipment with a capacity of 30 million imperial gallons in the Al-Zour South Power Plant to the winning business that met all of the requirements.

According to the Ministry of Electricity, maintenance work for the various stations' equipment is part of the ministry's efforts to extend the lifetime of the various equipment used in power generation and water production at all stations.

The construction of three reinforced concrete ground tanks for freshwater, each with a capacity of 115 million gallons, in the Al-Mutla'a Residential City, site No 1, according to CAPT sources, is one of the infrastructure projects whose tender procedures are now being finalized.
