Man Attempted Date-rape

An Egyptian woman lodged a case at Maidan Hawally Police Station against her compatriot colleague for attempting to rape her during a dinner inside a restaurant at Hawally area. Reportedly, the suspect had invited the woman for dinner at a restaurant and the latter had accepted graciously.

They both occupied a family cabin for privacy, but the man started making immoral passes at the woman in a way that seemed like he was using a trick to get non-fiscal payment for the meal.

The complainant had warned him to behave well and respect her but he suddenly started touching her in an attempt to rape her. When she cried out for help, people rushed into the cabin to rescue her. This was when it dawned on the man that he had committed an offense and he took to his heels immediately. Securitymen took down his details and have launched investigations to find and arrest him.
