Malls, Groceries, Eateries Target – Violating Camps Demolished

The Kuwait Municipality announced Wednesday the issuance of 522 building permits and 39 certificates of description in Jahra Governorate, adding commercial activities to the previously permitted activities during the month of May. The director of the Jahra municipality branch, Thamer Al-Mutairi, said in a press statement that the municipality has ensured that the shops comply with the municipality’s regulations and regulations and implement the administrative decisions related to the opening and closing dates of shops and markets with regard to the time allowed for work in the recent period.

He added that the supervisory teams in various departments intensified their field tours on all commercial activities in malls, groceries and restaurants. He explained that the field tours carried out by the supervisory teams in various departments in the governorate’s municipal branch during the month of May resulted in issuing 205 violations and issuing two warnings after inspecting shops and a central market, in addition to editing 42 inquiries for shops. He stated that 67 violating camps and chalets were demolished, and 23 cases were directed to the Ministry of Electricity and Water to connect the electricity and inspect 3 properties.
