Makeshift Markets Selling Veggies, Fruits, Items Of Suspicious Origin Back In Full Swing In Jleeb
In full view of the concerned authorities, the makeshift market in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area has resumed its activity vigorously to sell goods that could be of suspicious origin as well as various types of food items such as vegetables and fruits, after a forced interruption of activities as a result of the isolation measures imposed by the health authorities on the area.
The bells of returning to normalcy that rang last week in the corridors and neighborhoods of Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area have led to a state of activity, vitality and movement that rendered the market vibrant.
All kinds of goods and services are being sold and offered such as cooking utensils, electronic devices, musical instruments, probably stolen mobile phones, and used clothes and shoes.
The market, which is crowded with customers of different nationalities, has become active once again with shoppers eager to purchase due to the cheap prices and diversity of the goods. The market is currently open from 3:00 pm to after sunset.
The stands are randomly distributed in front of the doors of the houses along the street that are inhabited by bachelors in the area. They display their goods without any form of supervision. In fact, most of the displayed goods are collected from garbage containers, especially clothes and shoes.
