Large Number Of Indian Expats Take Advantage Of Amnesty
A large gathering of Indian expats, who are residency law violators, came to the reception center at the Jleeb AlShuyoukh area on the first day of the amnesty period from 16 to 20 April.
The members of the Indian embassy gave the required travel documents to the residency violators in Al-Farwaniyah.
The Interior Ministry has given illegal expats an amnesty period to leave the country with no fines and free air ticket with a hope of returning to Kuwait in the future with the proper documents.
The Indian embassy requested all Indian nationals desiring to benefit from the Amnesty are requested to approach the following centers from 16-20 April, 2020 (between 8 am to 2 pm).
Males
Farwaniya Governorate – Farwaniya Primary School – Girls, Block 1, Street 76
Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, Naeem Bin Masoud School – boys, Block 4, Street 250
Females
Farwaniya Governorate – Al-Muthanna Primary School – Boys, Block 1, Street 122
Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, Rufaida al-Aslamia primary – Girls, Block 4, Street 200
Guidelines:
Those who are in possession of valid Indian passports can approach above centers with personal belongings/baggage(s) and be prepared to stay at designated shelters till the date of their departure.
Those who are NOT in possession of any valid documents like Passport, Civil ID, Emergency Certificate etc (both male & females) may approach Farwaniya Primary School – Girls, Block 1, Street 76 for biometric identification (finger print). Such people are NOT required to carry any personal belongings as they will NOT be shifted to shelters at this stage.
Those who have already applied for ECs through volunteers are NOT required to either visit above centers or the Embassy for getting travel documents. On completion of processing of ECs, applicants would be contacted and guided accordingly.
