Kuwait's Labour Market Is Dominated By Egyptians, Surpassing Indians For The First Time
For the first time, the Egyptian community tops the Kuwait labor market overtaking Indians, according to recent labor market statistics. Kuwait's Egyptian community tops the labour market with a total of 456,600 male and female workers, or 24% of all Kuwaiti workers, according to statistics published by Al-Qabas Arabic daily. About 1.9 million people work in the country.
Kuwaiti labor, with a total of 424,100 citizens or 22.3% of the total labour market, followed by Indian labor, with a total of 451,300 workers, or 23.7% of the total labour market.
According to the statistics, Bangladeshi workers ranked fourth with 161,100 workers (8.5%), followed by Pakistani workers with 70,300 workers (3.7%), Filipino workers ranked sixth with about 66,000 workers (3.5%), and Syrians ranked seventh with 63,200 workers (3.3%).
In total, the Nepalese accounted for 40,100 workers (2.1%), followed by the Jordanians with 25,200 (1.3%), and the Iranians with 20,300 (1.1%), while the number of other nationalities amounted to 125,100 (6.6%).
