Kuwait's Krcs Will Open A Disaster Relief Center In Turkey

The Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) said on Monday that it inked a deal to create a disaster relief and response center in Antalya, Turkey, with a generous grant from Kuwait Finance House (KFH).

KRCS Deputy Chairman Anwar Al-Hasawi told KUNA on the sidelines of the agreement signing event that the center will deal with situations like the recent forest fires in Turkey.

He extended his thanks to KFH for its gesture, adding it represented the Kuwaiti people's kind nature. Yunus Sezer, the head of the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Agency (AFAD), praised the KRCS and KFH for their assistance, stating that Kuwait has a long history of success in humanitarian and disaster relief operations. The signing event was attended by the Turkish Ambassador to Kuwait Ayse Koytak, KFH CEO Abdulwahab Iesa Al-Rushood, and KRCS Secretary General Maha Al-Barjas. -KUNA
