Kuwaiti Woman Quarantined After Found Breaking Self-isolation

A Kuwaiti woman has been put under quarantine after breaching self-isolation at home as a precautionary measure against coronavirus, said the Ministry of Interior Thursday.

The move came after the woman had posted a video showing non-compliance with relevant guidelines by going to the Blood Bank for donation, the ministry said in a press statement.

Therefore, the ministry urged citizens and residents to follow all decisions and instructions issued by concerned authorities regarding the fight against the contagious disease, warning that violators would inevitably face legal action.

Earlier in the day, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Health reported 12 additional coronavirus cases, bringing the country's total number of confirmed infections to 142. (end)
The pneumonia-like disease, known as COVID-19, originated in the central Chinese city of Wuhan in December and has then spread to over 150 countries. The World Health Organization (WHO) designated the disease as a pandemic.
