Kuwaiti Woman Gets 7 Years In Prison For Marrying 2 Men, Adopting Two Identities

The Court of Appeal has upheld the verdict of a lower court and sentenced a Kuwaiti woman to seven years imprisonment with hard labor for ‘marrying two men’ after falsifying documents in two different identities, reports Al- Seyassah daily.

The court also sentenced her husband to seven years imprisonment with hard labor for forging the Kuwaiti citizenship and forging the identity of another person to help the woman work in two places at the same time under different identities.

The court also ordered the woman to return the money earned fraudulently. The prosecution charged the defendants with forgery of official documents and marriage contracts, divorce certificate, for obtaining rent allowance from the Public Authority for Housing Welfare, for obtaining a housing loan from Kuwait Credit Bank, obtaining social allowance, exploiting the goodwill of the employees assigned to prepare the documents and providing false information.
