A Kuwaiti student in London, identified as Saad Ali Kakoli, was injured in left hand when six armed men attacked him during a robbery Sunday night, reports Al-Rai daily. “I was with my friend in London’s Knightsbridge area at 11 pm.

After we left a restaurant, we were intercepted by six people riding on three motorcycles, and one of them struck me with a knife when I resisted them,” said Kakoli, who is doing his Master’s in London. “ Paramedics rushed him to the hospital and he underwent a surgery in the left hand.

“The video that was posted on the websites about a motorcycle gang in London targeting pedestrians is not related to what happened to us. It was filmed during the day, but what happened with us was at night,” he added.

He thanked the members of Kuwaiti diplomatic mission in London headed by Consul Fawaz Bin Shaiba as well as the Cultural Attaché Dr Fawaz Al-Fares for their intense concern and reassurance about his health.
