The Kuwaiti who is accused of assaulting a security guard at the Egyptian consulate and threatening to bomb the place if not allowed to enter, said he accompanied a Lebanese friend who had gone to obtain a visit visa for Egypt, reports Al-Rai daily.

The lawyer of the Kuwaiti has filed a complaint with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs demanding the right of his client for rehabilitation saying he was insulted and beaten by the embassy security guards. The lawyer in his complaint said his client had gone to the embassy with his Lebanese friend and as the friend was in the process of completing documents in the consulate he requested the guards to let him enter the premises because it was very hot outside.

The lawyer added his client requested one of the securitymen of the embassy to allow him to enter the consulate because of the hot weather, but his client was inappropriately dealt with exceeding all limits and when he complained about the blatant behavior he was grabbed by the security officers, pulled inside the consulate without his consent, taken to one corner and beaten. The lawyer said it is surprising that his client is accused of carrying a knife and threatening to blow up the place.
