Kuwaiti-saudi Singer Shams Facing Legal Action

Kuwaiti-Saudi singer Shams is facing legal action over alleged blasphemy and defamation of Islam. Lawyer Ahmed Al-Enzi, who works with the legal firm owned by Dr. Saad Al-Enzi, filed a lawsuit with the Public Prosecutor, accusing her of discrediting the sanctity of the holy Quran. 

He claimed that she used blasphemous words, defamed Muslims and criticized the status of women when she appeared in an entertainment programme on Egyptian channel, Al-Nahar TV.
